Board Meetings

Board meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Please contact any board member for more information.

About the Board

The business, property and affairs of EOSARDA are managed by a Board of Directors.
- Most of the Directors are elected by the Council of Dancers at their April meeting.
- Up to two of the directors are appointed from the Ottawa Area Callers Association
- One director is the immediate Board Past President

To balance Board membership among all clubs in Eastern Ontario, dancers from Northeastern Ontario (Pembroke), Southwestern Ontario (Belleville, Kingston, etc.) and Southeastern Ontario (Brockville, Cornwall, etc.) are encouraged to become directors.

All Board members are non-paid volunteers.

Council of Dancers

The Council of Dancers provides the Board of Directors with policy direction, votes on EOSARDA business, elects members of the Board, approves financial matters, and generally sets the direction the EOSARDA Board is to follow for the year.

Each EOSARDA Member Club may send as many representatives as it wishes to Council of Dancers meetings; however each club is allowed only two voting delegates — unless the club has over 80 registered members, in which case the club is entitled to two additional voting delegates. The Council of Dancers has two meetings per year, one in the spring (as EOSARDA’s Annual General Meeting) and one in the fall.
